Dr. Somaira Nowsheen, MD, FAAD, is a dermatologist with The Iowa Clinic Dermatology & Aesthetics department, treating a diverse range of skin conditions across all age groups. Her clinical interests include complex medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, surgical dermatology, injectables, skin cancer prevention and treatment, and energy-based procedures. She earned her medical degree and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at the University of California San Diego. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
