About Sarah Axtell

Dr. Sarah Axtell is a naturopathic doctor and the founder of Lakeside Natural Medicine in Shorewood, Wisconsin, which she started in 2011. She graduated with honours from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in dietetics and nutrition, then earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, completing three years of clinical rotations there. She is board certified by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners and is licensed in Wisconsin. She works with patients on hormonal imbalances, perimenopause and menopause, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, gastrointestinal disorders and weight-loss resistance, using functional lab analysis, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine and lifestyle counselling. Alongside one-to-one consultations she leads small group visits that combine education with cooking, and she is a member of the Wisconsin Naturopathic Doctors Association.
