About Sandy Foukarakis

Dr. Sandy Foukarakis is a certified physician assistant of more than 10 years and the lead clinician at Shore Functional Medicine in Manasquan, New Jersey. She completed her master's in physician assistant studies at Touro College of Health Sciences in New York City, with undergraduate concentrations in exercise physiology and biology, and later earned a Doctorate of Medical Science with concentrations in sports medicine and healthcare administration at Lynchburg University in Virginia. She began her career in emergency medicine at area hospitals and taught emergency medicine, anatomy and physiology and exercise science at a local university before moving into spine and sports medicine. She trained at the Institute for Functional Medicine to become a certified functional medicine provider and holds further certification in anti-aging medicine, bioidentical hormone replacement and regenerative and peptide medicine.
