About Robert E. Gerald

Robert E. Gerald, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a comprehensive Ophthalmologist who practices out of the Panhandle Eye Group Subspecialists office at 7411 Wallace Blvd in Amarillo. His interest in medicine began in the seventh grade when scientific exhibits on the anatomy and physiology of the eye at the Texas State Fair in Dallas sparked a lifelong devotion to diseases and surgery of the eye. He returned to Amarillo and began a private practice in Ophthalmology in 1978. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Ophthalmology Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association.
