About Richard Petersen
Dr. Richard Petersen is a co-founder and the clinical director of Root Cause Medical Clinic, which he established with his wife, Dr. Vikki Petersen, in 1992 after several years in private practice in Minnesota. He holds a BS from Iowa State University and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern College of Chiropractic, and works as a certified clinical nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner. He participates in advanced postgraduate clinical nutrition study several times a year with instructors from the Functional Medicine Institute. He co-authored "The Gluten Effect" and "Hiatal Hernia Syndrome," and has lectured to corporate audiences including Apple, HP and Cisco Systems through the Doctors Speakers Network.
