About Renee Obey

Renee Obey is an obstetrician-gynecologist and the owner of Summit Women's & Wellness Medical Group in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from Louisiana State University in 1993 and worked three years as a research technologist at Baylor College of Medicine conducting influenza research for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She received her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit in 2004. She ran a solo practice in Texas for ten years before relocating to Southern California in 2014, where she worked as an obstetric hospitalist and site director. She is licensed in California, Texas, Oregon and Indiana, specializes in obesity management, and is completing a Master of Public Health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University.
