About Patrick Garrett
Dr. Patrick Garrett runs Functional Lifestyle Medicine in Wichita, Kansas, in private practice since 2002, specialising in reversing acute and chronic conditions naturally through the triad of lifestyle medicine, functional medicine and clinical nutrition. He holds a Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Cleveland Chiropractic College. He holds four post-doctoral diplomates in clinical nutrition and functional medicine and has completed postgraduate coursework at Harvard Medical School, Yale Medical School, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Past President of the American Board of Functional Medicine and as Chairman of the Board of the American Academy of Functional Medicine. He was a co-investigator on University of Kansas School of Medicine research into MTHFR mutation prevalence in depressed patients, and has held faculty and adjunct instructor roles at Texas College of Chiropractic, Tabor College, Butler Community College and Hutchinson Community College.
