About Neelam Vashi

Neelam A. Vashi, M.D., FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist at The Dermatology Institute of Boston and an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, as well as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. She previously directed the Boston University Cosmetic and Laser Center and was founding director of the BU Center for Ethnic Skin. She earned her medical degree at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and completed her dermatology residency at NYU's Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology. She is senior author of more than 100 peer-reviewed articles on hyperpigmentation and has authored four textbooks.
