About Nate Bergman
Dr. Nate Bergman leads the integrative practice at Kemper Cognitive Wellness in Rocky River, Ohio, and is the practice's only named clinician. The practice states he specializes in functional medicine, brain health and geriatrics, and describes him as board certified in Internal Medicine with special expertise in brain health and neurodegenerative disease. His interest in brain health began with his own illness: during his second and third years of medical training he suffered severe memory loss, and applying functional medicine principles to find the root drivers, his memory and brain function recovered. The site states he has benefited from mentorship relationships with Drs. Mark Hyman, Dale Bredesen, James O'Keefe, Patrick Hanaway, Dan Kalish and Robert Hedaya over the past decade. He previously co-developed the brain health program at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, treats most conditions affecting mood and mind, and supervises all hormone testing at the practice. His current research focuses on an intervention for people with mild cognitive impairment and early-stage Alzheimer's disease.
