About Michael C. Yang

Dr. Michael C. Yang is a fellowship-trained cataract and glaucoma specialist at Central Valley Eye Medical Group. Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, he graduated magna cum laude from UC Irvine with the Chancellor's Award of Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa honours, then earned his medical degree at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine. He completed an internship at White Memorial Medical Center, an ophthalmology residency at UC Irvine as sole chief resident, and a glaucoma fellowship and clinical instructor role at Stanford's Byers Eye Institute. He speaks English, Mandarin and basic Spanish, and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
