About Melanie Tantisira
Melanie Tantisira, MD attended the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated at the top of her class in 1990. She completed her internship in 1991 at the University of Hawaii and her ophthalmology residency in 1994 at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. In 1994 she was among the first surgeons in Hawaii to perform no shot, no stitch cataract surgery, and in 2004 she established her own practice focused on eyes and aesthetics. She originally trained to perform microsurgery and inject Botox in 1989 and has over 30 years of experience with Botox, fillers, lasers and eyelid surgery. Since 2007 she has been recognized as one of Americas Top Ophthalmologists and holds hospital privileges at Queens Medical Center.
