Mehrdad Malihi, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder of Northwest Eye Laser & Surgery Institute in Portland, Oregon. He received his MD from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, completed his ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and finished a two-year glaucoma research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic followed by a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at OHSU's Casey Eye Institute. A comprehensive ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon, he provides cataract surgery, glaucoma care, retina surgery, and the practice's cosmetic Botox and dermal filler treatments. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and has published peer-reviewed research in Ophthalmology, Retina, and the British Journal of Ophthalmology.
