About Mayelin Carpio

Dr. Mayelin Carpio is a board-certified internal medicine and obesity medicine physician and the medical director of Vitally Doc in Fort Myers, Florida. She graduated from the University of Medical Science of Havana, Cuba in 2007, completed two years of medical training as an intensive care physician, and relocated to the United States in 2010. She then completed her internal medicine residency at San Juan City Hospital in Puerto Rico. For roughly four years she practised in Southwest Florida as a hospitalist focused on chronic disease management and acute care before founding Vitally Doc. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and a member of the Obesity Medicine Association, and is trained and certified in aesthetic procedures including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, thread lifts and microneedling through Empire Medical Training. She is also a Biote-certified provider for bioidentical hormone therapy.
