Dr. Mark McPhee, MD

Mark McPhee, MD, MHCMA fourth generation native of Kansas City, Dr. Mark McPhee is a high honors graduate of Pembroke-Country Day Preparatory School and a magna cum laude graduate of Pomona College in Claremont, California-concentrating in biology and literature. He was class valedictorian and a summa cum laude graduate of the University Kansas School of Medicine. At Harvard Medical School, he did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital as well as a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed a master’s degree in Health Care Management, also at Harvard University. After training, Dr. McPhee segmented his career: devoting time to the private practice of gastroenterology, to medical education and research, to academic administration, to service in medical specialty organizations, and (increasingly) to his primary career of hospital and health system administration aimed at technologies and operations designed to improve
