About Lucy Guevara

Lucy Guevara, MD, MPH founded Optimal Longevity MD in Arnold, Maryland, where she practices longevity, functional, and regenerative medicine. She is double board certified in preventive medicine and addiction medicine, and completed her medical degree at Georgetown University, a residency in preventive medicine and public health, a Master of Public Health at Rutgers University, and a fellowship in addiction medicine at Hackensack Meridian/Jersey Shore University. She moved into hormone and longevity medicine after her own experience with significant hormonal symptoms that conventional care did not resolve. She founded the practice after seeing, in addiction medicine and pain management, how often care relied on procedures and medications that acted as short-term fixes. She is a member of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, the Menopause Society, the Institute for Functional Medicine, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
