About Lisa Zimmermann
Lisa Zimmermann, MD is the founder and medical director of Zimmermann Modern Wellness in Morganville, New Jersey, and a functional and regenerative medicine specialist. She practiced as a general internist and family doctor for the first decade of her career before her youngest daughter became severely ill at 13, which led her to spend two decades studying Lyme and tickborne co-infections, mold and mycotoxin exposure, viral loads, gastrointestinal dysbiosis, heavy metals and environmental toxins. She specializes in chronic Lyme, mold illness, preventative cardiovascular health, gut health and bioidentical hormones. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Adelphi University and an M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed her internal medicine residency at North Shore University Hospital.
