About Kenneth H. Cooper
Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper is Founder and Chairman of Cooper Aerobics and a pioneer of preventive medicine. He published Aerobics in 1968 and has authored 20 books with more than 30 million copies sold. He received a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. He served 13 years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force as a flight surgeon and director of the Aerospace Medical Laboratory in San Antonio, working with NASA on astronaut conditioning programs and developing the 12-minute and 1.5-mile fitness tests and the Aerobics Point System. He resigned from the military in 1970 and founded the Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas, and serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Kenneth H. Cooper Institute.
