About Kate Godly
Kate Godly holds a bachelor's in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech (2005), a Certificate in Physician Assistant Studies from St. John's University in New York (2009), and an M.S. in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States (2021). She has been a PA since 2009. She began her career in primary care, addiction medicine and infectious disease in New York, later becoming an HIV specialist and infectious disease consultant in North Carolina. She founded The Functional Medicine Center (originally Restoring Balance Family Practice) in 2017; her clinical focus includes gut health, food sensitivities, adrenal fatigue, autoimmune disease, chronic infections such as Lyme and Bartonella, mold toxicity, and hormone balancing.
