About Jon P. Gieser
Dr. Jon P. Gieser specializes in the treatment and surgery of the retina and vitreous for a broad spectrum of diseases including retinal detachment, macular holes, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He practices at the Wheaton, Naperville, and St. Charles locations of Wheaton Eye Clinic. He has published on the application of computer information technology to ophthalmology, advanced techniques for retinal surgery, and retinal electrophysiology, and served on the editorial board of JAMA Ophthalmology. He also held the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
