About John D. Ratcliffe
John D. Ratcliffe, DC, DACRB, DACBN is the functional medicine and clinical nutrition physician at Northern Virginia Functional Medicine in Sterling, Virginia. He grew up in Maryland and attended the University of Maryland, College Park, then earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University before returning for a post-doctorate diplomate in Rehabilitation and completing an advanced neurology program in electrodiagnostics and EMG in Chicago. He holds a Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition and is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and is board eligible for a third post-doctoral program in Functional Neurological Rehabilitation. He sits on the board of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition and serves on its examination committee, helping design testing questions for board-eligible physicians. His clinical focus is neuro-orthopedic rehabilitation, neurology, functional medicine and clinical nutrition.
