About Jocelyn Burls
Jocelyn Burls is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and certified functional medicine practitioner leading Vitalize Functional Medicine in Mechanicsville, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 2012 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017. Her career has spanned primary care for underserved populations, geriatrics, long-term care, hospice, and eating disorder treatment. She has completed additional training in thyroid, gut health, and hormone balance for men and women, with a particular interest in microbiome balancing and metabolic health optimization.
