About Jillian Woodruff
Jillian Woodruff, MD is the founder of Modern Gynecology & Skin in Anchorage, Alaska. She holds dual bachelor's degrees in Psychology, with a neuroscience focus, and Spanish Literature from Duke University and earned her MD at the University of Kentucky. She completed her OB/GYN internship at Cornell University/NewYork-Presbyterian and her residency at Beth Israel Medical Center/Mount Sinai, then practised in Brooklyn, New York and for four years with Kaiser Permanente in the Washington, D.C. area before moving to Alaska. Her focus areas are bio-identical hormone therapy, cosmetic gynecology, and office-based minimally invasive treatment of heavy vaginal bleeding. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She speaks English, Spanish and American Sign Language and conversational Mandarin, has volunteered surgically in Guatemala and Mexico, and since 2019 has co-hosted the live call-in health show Line One on Alaska Public Media.
