About Jewel Sandy
Jewel Sandy, MD is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery who leads the aesthetics service at Eye Doctors of Washington. Originally from Sierra Leone, she earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Callahan Eye Hospital, and an ophthalmic plastic, orbital, and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She offers eyelid and facial reconstructive surgery, skin cancer reconstruction, and cosmetic treatments including Botox, fillers, and laser resurfacing, and previously founded the Global Ophthalmology Program as an assistant professor at Loma Linda University.
