About Jessica Montalvo
Jessica Montalvo, MD practices functional medicine at Peak Health Institute in Warrenville, Illinois. She received her bachelor's degree in English and American literature from Harvard University, attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine, and completed an internal medicine residency at Northwestern in Chicago along with subsequent training in hospice and palliative medicine. She practiced for over ten years in hospital and home-based settings before moving into functional medicine, later working for the telehealth practice Adapt180 and the California Center for Functional Medicine, where she began managing tickborne infections. She earned Certified Practitioner status with both the Institute for Functional Medicine and the ADAPT Functional Medicine Practitioner Training and Certification Program in late 2019, and has completed RECODE training for cognitive decline and a Lyme disease practitioner certification. Her strongest clinical interests are reversing cognitive decline and supporting complex chronic illness.
