About Ilyas Hamid
Dr. Ilyas Hamid began in the health and fitness industry in 2011 as a personal trainer and nutritionist while earning his BS in Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University, later becoming FIU's Lead Personal Trainer and 2013 Trainer of the Year. He earned a second Bachelor's in Health Sciences and a Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine, then a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine in 2019 with a thesis on Traditional Chinese Medicine and psycho-neuro-endocrine-immunology. He interned at Beijing's Gulou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the U.S. Olympic Training Facility in Colorado Springs, and studied Chinese Medicine with monks at the Shaolin Temple. He founded Balance Integrative Medicine and apprentices under Dr. Kevin Clark of the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine.
