Herbert R. Slavin, MD is the founder of The Institute of Advanced Medicine in Lauderhill, Florida, which he established more than 40 years ago. He has been in practice for over 40 years and specializes in internal medicine, working to identify and treat the causes of health problems rather than the symptoms, and the practice states that prescribing drugs to deal with a symptom is a rare occurrence there.
