About George Freeman
Dr. George Freeman is the founder and sole practitioner of Healthspan of Hampton Roads in Newport News, Virginia, which he opened in 2008. A native of eastern Virginia, he has more than 30 years of experience across primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, endocrinology and clinical research. After a career-changing injury he left surgical practice in 2001, retrained in clinical research, and has since been a contributing investigator on over 200 pharmaceutical and nutraceutical trials. His clinical focus is weight loss and metabolism, bioidentical hormone replacement, testosterone strategies, thyroid optimization and longevity medicine. He lists affiliations with The Obesity Society, the International Menopause Society and the International Society for the Study of the Aging Male.
