About Frank Sievert

Frank Sievert, MD is the founder of The Thrive Clinic, a functional medicine practice in Maryville, Tennessee. He studied medicine at the University of Dusseldorf in Germany and began a cardio-thoracic surgery residency in Duisburg before moving into primary care, motivated by a wish to intervene early enough to extend patients' healthspan. After emigrating to the United States he practised as a family doctor with the Corvallis Clinic in North Albany, Oregon, from 2008. A personal diagnosis of Hashimoto's disease, which conventional treatment normalised on paper without relieving his symptoms, led him to train in functional medicine. He founded The Thrive Clinic to practise that model, and his clinical focus includes autoimmune disease, long COVID, fatigue syndromes, allergies and chronic unexplained illness.
