About Elissa B. Gartenberg
Dr. Elissa B. Gartenberg, D.O., is a board-certified family medicine physician and founder of Modern Family Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, completed pre-medical and graduate biology coursework at Harvard University, and received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. She completed her internship with Henry Ford Health Systems and her family medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, and holds formal training in medical acupuncture through the Helms Institute at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She was voted a Top Doctor in Family Medicine by Phoenix Magazine in 2026.
