About Elena Maydan

Elena Maydan, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained skin cancer and reconstructive surgeon at Metropolitan Dermatology's Staten Island office, specialising in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology. She graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College of Columbia University and first in her class from Cornell University Medical College, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her dermatology residency and chief residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, followed by a Mohs College-approved fellowship under Dr. Yehuda Eliezri. She holds an academic appointment in the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University Medical Center and has performed over 10,000 skin cancer surgeries. She speaks Russian.
