Edit Zelkind is a physician assistant at Be Well Family Care in Carmel, Indiana, with a career spanning more than 25 years across primary care, dermatology and breast care. She holds an undergraduate degree in genetics and cell biology from the University of Minnesota, where she conducted research in the pediatric cardiology lab, and began her career in emergency medicine in Minneapolis before relocating to San Diego in 2000 and moving east in 2023. The last 16 years of her practice have been dedicated to medical weight management and lifestyle wellness, and she has completed advanced training through the Institute for Functional Medicine and the School of Applied Functional Medicine.
