About Donald Ellsworth
Donald Ellsworth, MD has practiced at the Hotze Health and Wellness Center since 2003, focusing on natural and functional medicine. He graduated with high honors from Vanderbilt University with a degree in molecular biology and engineering science, earned his medical degree with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency in 1989. He served as a medical officer in the United States Air Force, joined the faculty of the Saints Family Medicine Residency Program in Oklahoma City, and from 1994 spent eight years in Uzbekistan as medical director of a non-profit organization, where he helped develop the first home medical textbook in the Uzbek language and the first national school health program. He is certified through the Institute for Functional Medicine and is ReCODE certified in the Bredesen protocol for cognitive decline.
