About Cooper Heard
Dr. Cooper Heard is a Shreveport native who attended Loyola College Prep and Centenary College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1996. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2001, completed a transitional internship at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, then a four-year residency in anatomic and clinical pathology in Shreveport in 2006, serving as chief resident his final year. He subsequently completed his dermatology residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, also serving as chief resident in his final year. He is board certified in Dermatology, Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, Dermatopathology, and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. His special interests include adult and pediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, dermatopathology, and dermatologic surgery including Mohs surgery.
