About Charles N.S. Soparkar
Dr. Charles N.S. Soparkar, M.D., PhD, FACS is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and practices at Plastic Eye Surgery Associates' Houston office at 3730 Kirby Drive, Ste. 900. Prior to entering private practice with his longtime friend and mentor Dr. Patrinely, he served as Chief of ophthalmic oncology and oculoplastic surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Boston University Medical Center and the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic, with additional appointments at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Tufts University. A native of Massachusetts, he received both his PhD in molecular biochemistry and his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts and has lectured across five continents. He founded and coordinated the Pan American Study Society (PASS), a research group of 30 leading oculoplastic surgeons. He has personally treated over 7,000 patients with Thyroid Eye Disease.
