About Dr. Bita Badakhshan

Dr. Bita Badakhshan, MD was raised in Sweden and moved to Southern California in 1996. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, attended medical school at St. George's, and completed her family medicine residency at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. She returned to Southern California in 2011, working with the Woodbury Medical Group, Sand Canyon Urgent Care, and Kaiser Permanente in Orange County. She spent ten years at the Center For New Medicine and the Cancer Center For Healing, focusing on cancer prevention and integrative cancer treatment under the mentorship of Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy. She is a member of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. Her practice at OC Functional Medical Center emphasizes preventive care, root-cause diagnosis, and a holistic approach combining nutrition, immune-system optimization, and lifestyle intervention.
