About Az Tahir

Dr. Az Tahir is an internal medicine physician practising holistic, integrative and functional medicine in Henrietta and Syracuse, New York. He received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University in Egypt and completed post-graduate studies in pediatrics and in obstetrics and gynaecology at National University and Dublin University in Ireland. He completed his clinical internship and residency in pediatrics and internal medicine at Brookdale Hospital and Brooklyn Hospital through the State University of New York at Downstate, and completed further educational experience at Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital. He has more than 35 years of experience practising clinical medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. He also trained in homeopathic medicine, holds New York State licensure for therapeutic massage, and is certified in clinical hypnotherapy.
