About Asif Lala

Asif A. Lala, DMD, MD is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon practising in Meridian, Mississippi. He earned undergraduate and master's degrees in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University and both his DMD (2006) and MD (2009) from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 2012 as chief resident, along with a two-year general surgery certificate at Penn. His clinical interests include dentoalveolar and implant surgery, oral pathology, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, obstructive sleep apnea and TMJ disorders, and he holds staff privileges at Rush Foundation Hospital, Specialty Hospital of Meridian, Anderson Regional Medical Center and Meridian Surgery Center.
