About Alison Lechner
Dr. Alison Lechner is the founder and medical director of Shine Functional Health in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, where she leads a multidisciplinary team including a clinical nutritionist and a wellness nurse. She is a certified functional medicine practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine, a credential she earned in 2019, and has practised traditional family medicine for over 15 years. She has completed advanced integrative and longevity medicine training through A4M and the Seeds Scientific Research & Performance Institute, earning certifications in peptide therapeutics and cellular optimization. Her clinical focus covers hormone balance, metabolic and mitochondrial health, mold and environmental illness, cardiovascular prevention and women's health, using lipidomics, metabolic testing and genomics.
