About Alex Doctoroff

Alex Doctoroff, DO is the founder of Metropolitan Dermatology, which he opened in 2004 and which now operates 23 offices across New Jersey and Staten Island. He is a board certified dermatologist who also holds a subspecialty certification in Mohs micrographic surgery, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he teaches dermatology residents. He graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1998 and completed his dermatology residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002, ranking first in the nation in his second and third years. He is a past President of the New Jersey Dermatological Society and is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and Hebrew.
