Dr. Makarita graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1988, and maintains a private practice in McLean, Virginia with an emphasis on aesthetic reconstructive dentistry. He believes strongly in continuing education and is committed to keeping up with the latest techniques and materials to provide his patients with exceptional dentistry. Dr. Makarita was awarded Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry. In order to achieve this, he was required to attend over 1100 hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry, of which 400 of those hours involved participation courses and case presentations. He is among an elite group of cosmetic dentists who have Accredited Fellowship status by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
