Kim was born in the Bronx, New York City but grew up in Beaverton, Oregon. She went to Sunset High School, received her undergraduate at the University of Washington, and completed her Masters at The University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey before going to Dental School. Growing up, she saw her father struggle with gum disease, igniting a desire to make a difference in the lives of others through dental care. Dr. Kim pursued her dreams, navigating non-traditional student life and graduating top of her class clinically from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.
