Born and raised in Huntington, WV, Katie had a dream to create an environment where she can serve people like her who deal with major skin concerns. After making a career-switch in her 30s and graduating from esthetics school, Katie cashed out her 401K (along with her faith in God), and decided to open the doors to The Skinfluencer in June of 2022. And ever since then, she hasn’t looked back one bit. Katie rented a small 6x8’ room on 8th Street in downtown Huntington—large enough to fit a treatment table, and small enough to afford as a solopreneur. Her only goal at the time was to treat enough clients to afford the space and equipment. Well in just a few months, Katie began to see so many clients that she had to move into an even bigger location, and before the year was over she did just that.
