He attended dental school at UCLA School of Dentistry and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). During his time at UCLA he was honored with being on the Deans Honor List each year of his dental school education. Dr. Beatty then attended medical school at the prestigious Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD). He had the opportunity to train at several world renowned hospitals during medical school including The Cleveland Clinic, Metropolitan Health Hospital, and University Hospitals.
