About Sugar Family Dental

She earned her bachelor’s degree from UCLA, and her dental degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in 2009. In dental school, she volunteered for a service trip to Costa Rica and Nicaragua to treat the under-served population. She also worked with several after-school programs that provide dental education for Philadelphia inner-city children. After dental school, Dr. Sugar received advanced training from a year-long residency in general dentistry at the Sepulveda Veteran Affairs Hospital in North Hills, California. She stayed on to become chief resident for a second year to gain additional experience with implants, cosmetic dentistry, and advanced prosthodontics. Dr. Sugar has a continued love for learning. To stay current with the latest in dentistry, she is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Barbara/Ventura Dental Society, and Spear Study Club.
