About Steven Covici, MD, FACS

As an oculofacial plastic surgeon, Steven Covici, MD specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and face. He is the chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at Baystate Medical Center and an assistant professor at Tufts University Medical School. Dr. Covici is also a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and he serves on their education committee. Dr. Covici earned his BA from The University of Pennsylvania with honors in 1989 and his MD from Northwestern University in 1993. He then completed a General Surgery Internship and Ophthalmology Residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. In 1998, he completed his fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive oculofacial surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
