Dr. Sarita Mahtani is a physician, scientist, and passionate advocate for a more intelligent and personalized approach to healthcare. She founded SouthPark Functional Medicine to provide patients with the root-cause analysis that she found was missing from the conventional medical landscape. Dr. Mahtani’s journey began with a rigorous scientific education, earning a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology before receiving her M.D. from the distinguished University of Washington School of Medicine. She then served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and an Attending Physician at one of the nation s top academic medical centers, NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. It was here, while practicing in their Integrative Health and Wellbeing clinic and as a hospitalist in New York City and Seattle, that she honed her expertise in managing complex, chronic diseases.
