About Smillie Dental

A native of Florida, Dr. Joseph Smillie stayed in the Sunshine State for undergrad, receiving his Bachelor s degree from the University of Florida. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Nova Southeastern University s College of Dental Medicine. His dream had always been to focus on the medical field, but a lecture at the University of Florida prompted him to choose dentistry. Dr. Joseph Smillie realized that he could touch the lives of many different people with a variety of needs as a dentist, and this was a major draw for him. In his spare time, Dr. Smillie enjoys fishing or playing a round of golf as well as spending quality time with his wife; his kids, James and Harper; and his dog, Roshe. Dr. Joe is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Volusia Flagler Dental Association, Volusia Dental Academy, and is a Certified Invisalign and Implant provider.
