She attended Trinity High School and later played volleyball at Eastern Illinois University where she studied chemistry and history. She then returned to Chicago to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, where she was Vice President of her class. While in dental school, Dr. Barto participated in rotations with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and Illinois Masonic Hospital. Prior to receiving her degree, Dr. Barto completed an externship with Crusader Clinic in Rockford, IL. She has been working in private practice since 2005 and has lived in Lemont since 2009. Dr. Barto was also an adjunct faculty member at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove. Being involved in dental education has allowed Dr. Barto to stay on top of new developments and technology as well
