Dr. Kevin Haiar grew up in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduating from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelors degree in Biology, he pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Creighton Dental School in Omaha, NE. During his first year at Creighton, Dr. Haiar joined the U.S. Navy, where he served as a dental officer for four years following graduation. Dr. Haiar served one year at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, SC and three years at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in Havelock, NC. During his military service, Dr. Haiar worked one-on-one with an oral surgeon, and spent several months as the head of an oral surgery department responsible for the care of roughly 10,000 patients. It was also during this time that Dr. Haiar continued his implant and surgical education, attending a 300+ hour course at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, where he also completed his IV conscious sedation training.
