Shamsah Amersi, MD is a solo obstetrics and gynecology practice in Santa Monica, California, in private practice in Los Angeles since 2002. Dr. Amersi completed medical school and residency at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha, and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Alongside general obstetrics and gynecology, the practice concentrates on hormone and longevity medicine: PCOS, insulin resistance, perimenopause and menopause, bioidentical hormone therapy, medically supervised weight loss including GLP-1 protocols, and biomarker-based healthspan assessment. All diagnostic testing, labs, and ultrasounds are performed in the office, and Dr. Amersi serves on the Menopause National Association advisory board. She is the sole practitioner, with telehealth nutrition support from a licensed dietitian nutritionist.
